Its been more than a week since I got back from the trip. I got swine flu as a return gift from the trip. The fever is more or less gone but my throat seems to be paying a price for it. It still feels all clogged. I cannot sit in front of the computer for more than 15-20 minutes. I wanted to watch movies and TV series but have been unable to do it. For the last one week all I've done is sleep and eat. I got my car last week but have not even test driven it till now. I hope I get back to normal before the weekend. Its been 3 weeks since I met up with my friends. All my personal projects have been on hold for the last month now. I just hope I can work on them on weekends.

Somehow today Murphy's Law : If any thing can go wrong, it will! applies to me. I woke up at 5:00 AM and was in bed again at 5:30 A.M. Just kept twisting and tossing around in the bed but could not sleep. Since I could not do much I ended up writing the last blog post. Got up at 6:30 and planned to go out for a walk. Something that just could not happen. I had planned to get rid of a few bugs in fefoo but I never got time for it either. By 8:00 AM someone came over and my plan to work went down the drain. I ended up fixing a laptop and that took another 2 and half hours. I had planned to be in office by 9:30 but finally got in by 10:30. Thats enough ranting for a day I guess :P. Here is hoping things would be a little better now.

You need to read the review of Slumdog Millioner by Arindam Chaudhuri , i.e. incase you've not already read it in all the major possible English newspapers in India. It is a full page advert of IIPM where Mr. Chaudhuri is currently the Honorary Dean for Centre for Economic Research and Advanced Studies and it has this review in the end. This review seems so stupid in an advert for an Educational Institute. It seems like this person is really looking for some cheap publicity and you can see that from the comments on the blog post. I have a feeling that this guy really believes in "There is no such thing as bad publicity" . I am still not sure why would someone actually pay for a full page advert for something like this. Come to think of it Mr. Chaudhuri is also a film maker and it almost sounds like envy more than a honest review. I really love some of the comments on the blog post. Some of them follow now. Another year is coming to an end and the best thing to describe my state of mind right now is " LOST ". With the Long road to ruin by Foo Fighters playing in the background its not really helping. The past 3+ years have been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. Am still not sure what I want to do and where I want to go in life. Most people seem to know and have a clear direction by this age but seems like I need a little more time to understand things in life. I have learned a lot over the years yet there is something that I seem to be missing. I almost feel like the ranting swede (A character on Sheep In The Big City ). But thats another post altogether. And after getting the USB cable for the iPod I had figured out that things would turn out well. But unfortunately that is not how this story has to end. The sub standard product (iPod cable) made by HCL failed to install. This is what I get when I try and connect my iPod using it. I really don't want to start another thread of how HCL sucks . But all I can say is that the stupid cable did not work, and to top it all I threw away all the packing thinking that it will work. Now as I can do little or nothing this just goes to prove that try not to buy things online. But, but incase you do make sure you try it before you throw away the packing. Just make sure you never buy any of the cheap accessories by HCL. They are cheap in every possible sense.

To get a better perspective of this post you would have to go through " Futurebazaar sucks big time " and Future bazaar sucks big time - II . All's well that ends well or so I would want to believe. I have finally got the delivery of all the products, the wire in the photograph was delivered just minutes back. Though I have the products but I cannot help notice the quality of the products. This time future bazaar is not to be blamed. I always thought that HCL was selling Apple authorized products. I have the photograph of the original cable with the HCL cable. The HCL one looks cheap and really ugly. Though the products I have got were exactly the ones I had ordered but if I had a look at them in a brick and mortar store I doubt I would be tempted to buy them. I have been holding myself back for a long time now. I don't want to bring anyone down but given the kind of service FutureBazaar provides I have been forced to write this blog post. Hopefully someone at FutureBazaar reads it and figure out the poor service they provide. I bought a Nokia E61i from them around 3-4 months back and it took 25 days to be delivered. After numerous calls I finally got the mobile. I paid Rs. 1500 over the market price for a phone and it was delivered after 25 days and to top it all the free 2 GB Micro SD card was missing. I again checked the website and all evidence of the 2GB card was erased but luckily for me I had taken a screen shot of the web page when I had ordered it. I called them up and they acknowledged that they had removed the 2GB offer but since it was advertised when I had ordered it they would provide me the card as and when they have it.
